Charlene
Meet Charlene, this is my take on David N. Ebner’s Sternum Rocker, a design he created in 1976, inspired by the curve of a duck’s sternum bone.
Made from red oak with bent lamination, bridle joints, and Swedish Modern-style caning. She’s got a modern sensibility and touch of ‘70s retro gentle rocking vibes.
I owe huge thanks to the extremely generous and talented folks at Silver River Chairs @silverriverchairs, who patiently talked me through the caning process and offered guidance every step of the way.
